The ACE Mentor Program of Colorado serves high school students who want to explore careers in architecture, construction, engineering, and other land use professions. Throughout the year, the ACE program, which meets two hours per week for 17 weeks, introduces participants to building industry professions by having them plan and design mock projects on real sites and work with professionals in the design and build industries.
This year, sessions will be hosted virtually, making it easier than ever to volunteer. Starting on January 19, 2021, there will be three different virtual sessions: Tuesday @ 5pm, Wednesday @ 4pm, and Thursday @ 3:30 pm. The project this year is a Tiny Home community. Student team presentations will be held in April 2021 at the CU Denver College of Architecture and Planning. Teams will be judged by a panel of experts and the winning presentation will be showcased at the annual fundraising gala, Blue Print to Success.
