Following steep declines in regional investment transactions in the first quarter of the year, our panel will look at the dynamics of real estate capital flows in both Asia Pacific markets and globally. The discussion will focus in particular on the investment environment in Korea – one of very few local markets to enjoy an increase in transactions during that period – with an emphasis on recent trends for both incoming international capital and also outbound flows from Korean institutional funds, which remain some of the strongest in the Asia Pacific region.
