About ULI Colorado’s Building Healthy Corridors Study:
With support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and Colorado Health Foundation (CHF), Urban Land Institute (ULI) Colorado joined a national study to transform typical strip corridors into healthy places to live and work. ULI Colorado is studying Federal Boulevard from 52nd to 72nd and making recommendations regarding active living, access to healthy food, public safety, economic development, affordable housing, and other key aspects of healthy places.
The all-volunteer ULI Colorado Working Group is collaborating with national experts studying similar corridors in Boise, Idaho, Los Angeles, and Nashville. Here in the Federal corridor, ULI Colorado is working with community and political leaders seeking progress. ULI will make findings and recommendations that are non-binding, but intended to help communities, jurisdictions, the private sector, and public agencies move forward by working together.
