Initiative Committees
Building Healthy Places Initiative
Works to integrate best practices in Building Healthy Places focused on sustainable design, active living and transportation, access to healthy food, safe public spaces, and economic development. Holds monthly meetings focused on these topics areas. Partners with Colorado Health Foundation to organize Building Healthy Places workshops in communities across the state.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Action
The DEI Action Committee is composed of volunteers from each of our standing committees and product councils who serve as DEI Champions. The DEI Action Committee meets quarterly to help ULI Colorado implement its DEI Action Plan and update it over time.

Real Estate Diversity Initiative (REDI)
The Real Estate Diversity Initiative (REDI), which began in 2009 at ULI Colorado, is a program intended to increase the number of women and people of color in ULI and in the real estate industry. REDI is a training and mentorship program for these traditionally underrepresented groups. Click here to learn more about REDI.

UrbanPlan
UrbanPlan is a realistic, engaging exercise in which participants—high school students, university students, or public officials—learn the fundamental forces that affect development in communities. Participants gain experience with the challenging issues, private-and-public sector roles, complex tradeoffs, and fundamental economics involved in proposing realistic land use solutions to vexing growth challenges. Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI)
In 2013, ULI Colorado joined this national ULI program to advance the careers and leadership of women within ULI, the greater community, and their professions. WLI seeks to increase the numbers of women who join ULI, become leaders of ULI committees, and are featured as speakers and panelists. Watch for WILI’s newest mentoring program, “Breaking the Glass Ceiling,” coming soon!

Young Leaders Group (YLG)
ULI Colorado’s YLG organizes and leads activities providing networking and education to young professionals under 35 years old in the real estate industry. With over 200 members and growing, YLG hosts its full menu of tours, volunteer days, and networking. YLGs organize regular networking events, two educational programs annually, and the Partnership Forum and Development 360 professional development programs.
