ULI Colorado - UrbanPlan New Volunteer Training (SOLD OUT)
All spots are filled for this training.
We will be holding a one-day training session for new volunteers on August 25th. This training is for those who have NOT yet been trained.
Volunteers must be able to attend for the full event length. Coffee and lunch will be provided for attendees.

What is UrbanPlan?
UrbanPlan is a realistic, engaging exercise in which participants -- high school students, university students, or public officials -- learn the fundamental forces that affect development in out communities. Participants experience challenging issues, private and public sector roles, complex trade-offs, and fundamental economics in play when proposing realistic land use solutions to vexing growth challenges.
Becoming a trained volunteer will allow you to support the local Public Officials and Denver City Council members.

Who should become an UrbanPlan volunteer?
A professional in the real estate industry who wants to give back to the local community and educate the community, city officials, and students about the real estate industry. To participate, you must be a ULI Member.
What does it mean to be an UrbanPlan volunteer?
Once trained, you are then qualified to participate in the following roles during UrbanPlan programs. Opportunities will be announced throughout the year.
Facilitator Role - challenging the participants to think critically as they respond to a hypothetical "Request for Proposal" for the redevelopment of a blighted urban area (1 hour)
City Council Role – evaluating team presentations, asking relevant questions, and giving feedback (1-2 hours)
Team Advisor Role - joining a team in the one-day workshop to assist with their pro forma and provide help with the UrbanPlan tools (4-6 hours)

ULI Colorado will need trained volunteers to assist in this day-long workshop with City of Denver Council members on

Sign up for the Public Officials workshop will be offered first to volunteers who complete the August 25 training, and then open to volunteers who do the online training option.
