    We invite you to join us for this in-person event featuring a conversation with Nan Ellin, Professor of Urban Design at the College of Architecture and Planning (CAP) at CU Denver, who will embark on candid conversation regarding her personal and professional journey:

    Nan holds a PhD from Columbia University in Planning with a concentration in Urban Design. Ellin’s research, creative work, teaching, community engagement, and administrative activities aim to transform contemporary challenges into opportunities for promoting urban, environmental, community, and institutional health and well-being. Her six books and numerous articles and essays are widely cited and translated into thirteen languages, and she has been recognized for her research and creative work through awards and speaking engagements worldwide. Ellin’s work bridges disciplines and professions, theory and practice, the classroom and community, and academic and general audiences.
     
    Presentation Included: Gold is the New Green: In this presentation, Dr. Nan Ellin shares her journey to enrich places for people and the planet, distilling lessons learned along the way for uncovering our buried habitat instinct and stepping beyond sustainability (green) to prosperity (gold).
