Celebrating Black History Month
Black History Month is the perfect time to explore important issues related to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
In recognition of Women’s History Month, ULI is amplifying people and projects that have worked to advance gender equity in real estate.
The Institute’s commitment to addressing the industry’s gender gap is formally seen through the Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI). Over its decade of existence, the WLI network has supported the professional development of women throughout their careers and increased the visibility of women leaders within ULI and the real estate industry. An example of these accomplishments can be viewed in a recent article in Urban Land that depicts how WLI has helped to promote the advancement of women in the real estate industry. This month, we are excited to celebrate these accomplishments and the ongoing efforts of women and allies who work tirelessly to gain further ground to ensure that the voices of women are heard.
In honor of Women’s History Month and in collaboration with Paradigm for Parity®, ULI’s Women’s Leadership Initiative is excited to host Move Beyond Challenges to Action, a free webinar on March 19 at 12:00 p.m. MST.
Join us for this discussion where we will explore how companies are transforming to build a more diverse workforce and inclusive culture. The discussion will be moderated by Serena Wolfe, chief financial officer at Annaly Capital Management and panelists include:
As we celebrate Women’s History Month and reflect on the immense progress made by a community of people who have continuously demonstrated resilience and fortitude, ULI’s mission to shape the future of the built environment for transformative impact in communities worldwide is especially relevant. Where women have experienced a disproportionate amount of job loss due to the pandemic, the real estate industry is uniquely positioned to identify ways to adapt our industry and remain a viable career for women in all industry sectors.
